SAT II Chemistry Questions

hi, im taking chemistry sat ii this may, and i have some questions to ask those that took this test before or have good knowledge on this test.

1) Will there be any questions whatsoever on the "histories" in chemistry? for example, like the people that discovered electrons, protons, or radioactive substances like radium. or how oxygen was discovered. will they ever be tested?
2) i noticed in barron's stoichiometry problems that they do not give the equations for the coefficients or anything. for example, they give you a problem like "If 49 grams of H2SO4 reacts with 80 grams of NaOH, how much reactant will be left over after the reaction is complete?" and that's it. i had no idea what the equation looked like, which means i cant solve it. im afraid im going to fail questions like this :( so will i have to memorize equations?

please help. thanks.

1)No. When I took it, I encounter none.

2) You’re not suppose to memorize. You’re suppose to know how to complete the reaction.

This is an acid-base reaction.
H2SO4 + NaOH=>H2O + Na+ + HSO4-

I was able to complete the reaction because I know what type it is and I know what products to expect.

^ thank you for the reply, but for your 2nd answer, they said that the equation is H2SO4 + 2NaOH -> 2H2O + Na2SO4. i can understand it once i see it, but to complete an equation like this is very hard :(

oh, i see, it’s an ionic reaction.
