ow.. i just realized that this is more of an chance me then does SAT II matter a lot.. lol so chance me for all UC's then!!

You are almost certainly in to all UCs except UCSD, UCLA and Berkeley. Although you will likely get in to at least one of those three, thing is…there are no guarantees, and the results from those three are always VERY surprising, due to how many people apply there and the way they each process applications. Seriously, there’s no way to know now, I’ve heard SO many weird stories about acceptances/rejections, their admissions are entirely unpredictable, especially last year.
Good luck and don’t stress to much, you’ll get in to a fantastic school with those grades. :)

It’s also fair to note that nothing we can say can change your chances and that in the event that you don’t get into UCSD, there are plenty of other fantastic universities in the world that you can attend, including inside the UC system.

what was the difference between this chancing thread and the one you started 25 minutes before it? (and while i’m on the issue, the zillions of other chancing threads you’ve posted over the last few weeks? i’m getting confused …)

honestly, chill out! i remember this process well and am watching my little sister (HS senior, also on CC haha) go through it. it won’t do you ANY good to get so stressed out about it. you’ve already worked so hard the last few years to get your grades/ECs/scores as high as they are, now it’s just a matter of preparing a strong application package, submitting it, and accepting whatever comes you way. if you keep the mindset of “i MUST get into school X” and it doesn’t work out, you’re going to be so upset come springtime. isn’t it much healthier to think “ok, i’m applying to schools XYZ because they fit my personality/educational philosophy well and i could be happy at any of them” and come spring, revel in the choices you get to make?

it’s depressing to read some of the angry posts that come out around decisions time, and i think it’s because many people have these well-established ideas that “school X leads to med school Y, which is the only path to success!” – but think, college hasn’t even started. you’ll don’t know who your best friends will be. you might even change your major a couple of times. the next four years are totally open for the taking. why be so dead-set on having to get into a particular school, then?

keep an open mind. it’s the best advice i can give anyone.

astrina
thanks. i just really really really really want to go to UCSD, i admit i do have a problem haha.
i do have options… i mean if not UCSD, then UCI or even a CC where i will transfer to UCSD or something (not sure yet)…

thumbs up for “awakening me!”

the difference between this thread and hte zillions others i have posted is my SAT II scores…i wanted to know how badly my SAT 2 scores will hurt my acceptance rate and stuff like that… the one you are talking about (25 mins ago one)… that was an official chance thread… this one was just a question about SAT 2 which somehow got melded with my “chance me” perversion.

thanks astrina ill try to think more positive now on!
