Can a student that has studied First Year Spanish I & II and First Year Latin I & II (UTexas) be prepared enough to take the respective subject tests?

It probably depends on how well you want to do. Unless you have finished all of the grammar and done a fair amount of reading in the language, for the Spanish SAT, I believe it will be hard to do well.

This usually means finishing at least year 3 of the language. If you can wait one more year and are still continuing the language then you definitely should wait.

Actually, I need to take 2-3 subject tests and I’m only familiar with Literature in English. I do not want to take a chance with math as I am terrible at it.
I intend to either go for a foreign language or US History. If I do not have much prior knowledge of either, which should I choose/ would be easier?

The SAT Subject Test in Spanish is quite difficult, and it is tough to get a high score (probably because many native speakers take the test, leading to a formidable curve).

Morning, where do you live that you don’t study any sciences, world history, or languages in high school, and yet you want to go to selective US universities that essentially require those things of applicants (except for world history)?

I’m just sort of curious. The question of teaching oneself a subject in order to take a SAT II test never comes up, and for good reason.

Take the Latin AP practice test and see how you do? I wold say you need to not only complete Latin III, but also to have done very well.

What would qualify as have done quite well? Does National Latin exam an indicater? How well should one do on National Latin exam to be ready to take Latin SAT?
