SAT II Subject Test-Score Choice

Here is the post from CB website re score choice.

"Score Choice gives you the option to choose which scores (by test date for the SAT and by individual test for SAT Subject Tests™) you send to colleges — in accordance with an institution's stated score-use practice."

If you take a SAT subject test twice, one scored 700 and one scored 790, does this mean that the college will only see the score of 790 if you use score choice?

Only some colleges use score choice. UPenn and Johns Hopkins (probably more top ranked colleges) do NOT allow applicants to use score choice.

If you actually exercise score choice, College Board sends nothing to colleges about the test you choose to withhold. However, be aware that many high schools put all your scores on the official high school transcript that is sent to colleges. Thus, you better know what your high school does before concluding you can hide a score via exercising score choice with CB. Also, as noted above, many colleges require you to provide all scores.

Thank you. This makes sense. Otherwise, CB does not need to offer the score canceling feature right after the test.
