SAT II vs. AP??!

I'm a home schooled junior in high school and trying to decide what tests to take for college admissions. I was planning on self-studying AP English Literature and Chemistry and taking the exams this May. But now I'm wondering if taking the corresponding SAT II's would be better?? I'm mainly taking these to confirm the grades I got in my corresponding classes (A's in both, but colleges could mistake these for easy classes.) No college I'm planning on attending requires them, but I'm in Texas and I'm applying to public schools so the competition will be rough (stupid top 10%...)

Any help would be appreciated :)

Colleges don’t really use AP Tests in the admissions process, though I think they should. They rely much more the SAT/ACT and SAT2’s.
The SAT2’s should help you get in, the AP’s will help you once you’re accepted.
Good luck!

Yeah, that’s what I was thinking… it’d make sense for deans to use the more difficult tests for admissions purposes but oh well.
