<p>I just got my acceptance letter in the mail today from North Carolina State, and theyre telling me I need to take SAT II's in Math, and a foreign language for placement purposes. First off, is this sort of thing normal? and secondly, do they have an SAT II for german, the language I took three years in high school? I went onto the site to sign up and only saw french and spanish :(</p>

<p>Yes, it's normal. My friend's sister took the spanish test for placement after getting in, but she hadn't taken it in a year, so she got something in the 300s.</p>

<p>The language tests with listening are only offered in November, but the reading only tests are offered in June. I'm going to guess--and it's only a guess, so you need to confirm--that NC State is asking for the reading only test. My son satisfied Stanford's foreign language req with the June reading only test. Check with NC State.</p>

<p>June is the only month where German reading is offered. the listening test is offered only in november. so June 06 is your earliest possible date.</p>
