Going to be applying to the business school.

Many schools are counting the writing part of the SAT as a SATII

Georgetown isn't counting the writing section of the new SAT at all.

I'd say having only two SAT IIs isn't fantastic, but since three tests aren't a requirement, you can't really be penalized for it along the lines of, "Let's not even consider this application."

You are correct all most all schools are not considering the new SAT writing as part of your SAT . However, many are using it to replace the SATII English test! That is why so many students are only have to take 2 SAT II"s It is different than in the past, where most students took 3 SAT II's. Times are changing AiHy

Sorry, but I'm definitely NOT talking about other schools. I'm telling you what is fact for Georgetown. The school still "strongly" recommends 3 SAT IIs and does not count the new writing portion at all.

Do you work in admissions???????????

I'm just telling you what I know to be true. You don't have to take my word for it, call the school and ask.

so you do not work for admisssions. I do not know the truth only what eduactional consultants are telling applicants throughotu the country

SAT II Subject Tests

All candidates, whether they submit scores from the SAT or ACT, should submit scores from 3 SAT II subject tests. The writing portion on the new SAT will not be substituted for an SAT II subject test score.

shouldn't you be studying?????????

Believe me, I have a fine grasp on school, but thanks for your concern.

Aihy is right. I visited Georgetown this summer and talked to one of the people on the admissions board and they clarified it is definitely 3 SAT IIs and the writing section does NOT count.
