SAT in the end of the Senior Year

Hello everyone! I'm new to this website, but I find it extremely helpful from what I could see in about 30mins. I just have a quick question and anybody that feels like they can put their 5 cents in, please do so ! :)

I just got a letter from my 1st choice school (it's a state school) saying that I am DEFERRED.

I'll have to RETAKE the SATs in May/June.

My SAT I for English and Math r at around 580s.

Therefore........

I have 3 months to prepare for the SATs. I want to improve a lot so I can try for their honors program. Bear in mind I never studied for the SATs and I moved to the United States 3 years ago which might be an explanation of why I did so bad on the vocabulary part.

I need your advice on how I can prepare myself in the best and most efficient way, how many hours do you think I should study a day and which books I should get. I am highly motivated and I would consider every piece of information I get.

Thank you !

what is a deferred admission?

I'm not accepted but I'm not denied as well. It's similar to the waiting list.
In order to get out of this situation you must improve in some way or another; many times it's the SATs.

Bump .........
