SAT - January 2011 International discussion...

Oh so like 11 GMT+1. xD Thanks for the info! Good luck to everyone!

Available soon!

nerve wrecking… 2 hours more

32 minutes, and every single minute seems to be passing as if it were an hour

haha its been killing me it is now 8:34pm on Thursday 10th here and i was silly enough to think for a second they’d be released on Australia time… good luck everyone!

I got 2120  Not bad since I was expecting worse. haha

Congrats Eva:) Anyone knows about the curve?

770CR 720M 780W
Total: 2270 (First Timer)

Pretty happy with what I got, but I honestly would have been happier with a 2250. Right now 2300 just seems like it’s taunting me. Anyway, is it normal for a 10 essay and 78 MC to push you down by 20 points?

Best of luck to you all who have yet to check your scores.

^ congrats!

i think so in terms of the curve. technically speaking that’s minus 6 points right there.

^So guys what was the curve for math???

@ yoursky!
Thanks!

@ King
They haven’t released the # of mistakes for each section yet, but I have only heard of 760, 740s and 720s amongst my friends. No 800s and nothing in-between, so I guess the -1 = 760M curve was the one used.

CR800 (Expected -8 or -9)
M740 (Expected -1)
W730 (thereabout)

T2270

wow what a horrible curve!!!

you guys are freaks.

1980.
Maths 740 ( 2 mistakes I suppose)
WR 660 ( 68 and 8 essay) How many mistakes does 68 exactly mean?
CR 580 - Terrible.
So in short, the American Dream Is Over.

^ lolololol

Congrats on the amazing scores 4D! :D

I got 72 Writing score with a 9 essay, and 720 overall score, so maybe that can help you determine the curve?

Oh-my-FREAKING GOD!

I travelled alone to Gothenburg (in another country) to take this test!!

In December I got 2090 (W710, M700, CR680).

Now I got 2350 (W750, M800, CR800).

I’m super-super excited!

The dream is back on!

If I registered as a standby, would it be the reason why I don’t have my scores yet?

stevierimbaud: how did you manage to improve CR so much? ;>>

2200 here.
CR 670
M 800
W 730 (72, 10)

@MarieM

I probably owe this one to another girl on here - I can’t remember her name.

What I did was that in addition to doing a few extra practice tests (new ones) I looked over the old ones I’d done.

I studied my mistakes, where did I go wrong? I started to understand how the questions worked.

It’s not rocket science really. It’s all in silverturtle’s guide. Do the practice tests over - you’ll see.

For the December test, I’d done all the practice tests in the blue book in two weeks. For the January test, I did maybe three more practice tests from the online course - AND I reread and looked over the old critical reading passages. This was probably the most helpful part for me.
