SAT - January 2011 International discussion...

ibro911 you know which is the experimental?

i found this test difficult… the cr passages were quite hard though the SCs did not trouble me as I thought they would.

had cr experimental n its sheer torturous having to tackle two 25 mins section…the maths to me were medium to tough in difficulty… the writing was a lil tricky… cant be too specific… shall wait for embargo to b lifted…

Sora, my family is from Heidelberg, but I live in California, I hope you did well :]

Hah, I’m LEAVING to take it now.

Nice Max :]
Well good luck!

@ Max, good luck!
@ chris: You have 6 25min sections. 2 math (1 with grid ins), 2 CR and the writing section will be scored. So if you had 3 math, then you know that one math was the experimental section.

yea i know Arcanis, i had a cr experimental, just wondering which of the 2 25-min sections is the experimental…

newton theory ;-)

you sure? thank god lol

@alyshehata - i think i know where u got the newtonian physics from… but its only the experimental right?

So international students don’t take the same exam paper as US students? O: (sorry, a newbie here).

I had math as the experimental section. Thought math was okay (stuck on 1 qns for a while though), CR was quite hard and writing…normal. Couldn’t come up with 3 examples for the essay though.

First time taking it, let’s pray for the best :)

@ illuminatedx
internationals don’t take the same version. the current trend is that collegeboard does reuse some of the us versions for internationals…

@zackzm right :d
also for math… the experimental was the one that had 2X+ something

One more hour left guys!

@alyshehata alright thanks… looks like the cr experimental has been reused in several previously administrated tests… too hard to be included as a real section or more data from test takers to be collected ?

This test is similar to the November 2008 SAT.

@ unconfidential nice way of putting it…

The embargo hasn’t been lifted dude…

embargo lifted!

how do you know which section was experimental? or ur just saying that cuz u had one extra of that section?

No :stuck_out_tongue: coz in our section we actually ask the person next to us to tell us the first word of every section that way we know every experimental xD clever aye ?

EDIT: That was actually before the exam started, as soon as the first 2 rows got the paper, the experimental was known to everyone :stuck_out_tongue: embargo lifted?
