SAT March 10 2012

@happycat20 & @ellangog: Thank God.

Yes it was 4; For Writing (Improving Paragraphs), I put moreover.
How about aesthetics for the first paragraph improvement.

I put moreover

And I put peremptory instead of superlative (I think that was that question)

Yes, “aesthetics” was correct.

But it couldn’t have been 4 because the base of the entire triangle was 4, the radius was one, so if you took the area of the big triangle with base 4 and height 2 the area would be 4 and the area of the two triangles must be less than that.

i put moreover too, because it was talking about a cost (the hiring professional people) IN ADDITION TO the cost of all the expensive products.

yea i got 4 aswell, wat was the answer to a possible lenght if area is less than 9 but over 5 i put 4 for that one too

unfortunately for me it was peremptory. argg.

what did you get for the question in the first math section with the average number of kids per family? 3.2? I ran out of time to go back and check that one grr.

@noble6: the radius WAS the height, if you drew a line from the (0,0) to the center (4,1), you get the base of each triangle to be 4, and the height to be 1.

So, .5bh = .5(4)(1) = 2. times two triangles = 4.

Am I right?

How about “for example” for the last improving paragraphs.

@arvindskumar i got -6

does anyone remember the question with confluence and concatenation?

It was peremptory for sure.

“Peremptory - (esp. of a person’s manner or actions) Insisting on immediate attention or obedience, esp. in a brusquely imperious way.”

Can someone please elaborate on the moreover/lawn care question you all are talking about? What was the rest of the moreover answer’s text? I can’t recall what I put :(

My mistake

@green def 3.2

In the CR section, what was the answer to the one about the varying sizes of the rims on Mayan ceramics?

@Greenroses it was 3.2

i believe it was precipitate and confluence, but i did take some time there and wasn’t completely sure

Oh, I see your confusion, noble6, the area was the area of the QUADRILATERAL with its four vertices at the origin, the two tangential points, and the center of the circle. You are neglecting the center of the circle, i think…

Does anyone know what the extra reading passage was?
