hi im planning to take the math II this coming October 2015 and have been using the Barron’s book for prep. I’m a little rusty on the math as everything I learned before hand has flown out the window. I need a solid review before I can take the tests, so I’m not sure if Barron’s is right for me. I finished their review section which was extremely confusing at some points and I was very tempted to just skip over. I am now at the practice test and I can’t even finish one without getting so frustrated. should I go and buy princetons or dr Chungs or grit through it and look up stuff online for additional help?
Barron’s is a lot harder than the real test. I haven’t gotten to the practice tests yet, but most of my friends were incredibly frustrated and ended up getting an 800 on the day. But, honestly, I think it all comes down to what you think and how you feel about it. If you thought the review was confusing and you said you’re rusty, maybe you should consider buying another one that explains it more clearly. While I have never used it, I’ve heard great things about Dr. Chungs.

The highest I got on Barron’s was a 720 but I ended up with an 800 and 10 minutes left at the end of the test. It has excellent review and very difficult practice tests, but you should just stick with it.
Im taking SAT Math II in Oct too, and I just finished taking a Barrons test. I havent graded it yet, but I got low 700s on previous tests but an 800 on College Boards Math II book. Barrons is so hard… Good luck to both of us
This is scary. On this thread: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-subject-tests-preparation/1616013-general-guide-to-getting-800-on-sat-ii-math-2c.html, the OP says that she got 740 on the barron’s test, 800 on the college board test and 750 on the real SAT 2 test. She then used Dr Chungs and did many tests and got an 800 on the real test. I heard that Dr Chung’s is hard and the “Tips” are not that clear though. I have barron’s and Chung’s.
