Any ideas for improving no calculator section on SAT? I am doing well on the math with calculator, but I get about 2-6 wrong on the no calculator section.
I think I waste time since I miss a step by accident when solving the question. Then, I spend extra time trying to figure out what went wrong. This leads to running of time in general.
Do I have to memorize certain formulas? And how do I stop making careless mistakes which waste time?
And also how reliable are the 2016 Princeton review tests?
I do pretty well on the no-calc section, so I’ll share some tips.
You seem to have a good grasp of math but lack confidence and then rush at the end… Make sure you read the question carefully and confidentially and then carefully do your math so that you will not need to worry if you made a mistake in the process. Remember when you are doing the math, do not just go through the motions, stay awake and make sure you doing your work correctly… After you get the answer, if you have any doubts put a star next to the question and move on. You have a whole section to complete. If you ever feel uncertain with an answer continue putting stars and when you finish, go back and verify those question you lacked confidence on.
As for memorizing formulas I would say don’t worry about it… Hopefully you already have common formulas in your head: y=mx+b, c=2pi®, area formulas, etc.
Awesome thanks! I’ve got that SAT next Saturday so any tips will help alot.
