**SAT Mathematics Level 2 Discussion Thread POSTPONED February 2016**

Yes, my percentile was like 81st or something.
And NO colleges will not look into the percentile.
Why would they? 800 is an 800. That is what STANDARDIZED testing is for. They curve tests differently each test because the difficulty of the test varies. The percentiles also vary per test because the percentage of 800s each test gets changes. It’s just that alot of people got 800’s this time around. Why should taking the test when alot of smart take it hurt you?
And besides, why are you so worried about your SAT 2 scores? Lol. You seem a little bit too obsessed with your scores . SAT 2 scores is a very small portion of the app. I just like to consider it as a “checklist” for things to do before college apps not a major thing like the SAT/ACT.

Would my experience in ap stats help at all for the math 2 subject test? I’ve heard there are some probability questions, but about how many are there per test? Thanks!

Not many but it will help

@ambitionsquared
I’m taking AP stat right now and it helped me one question on the feb makeup test

“National: 81
The national percentile for your score indicates that you did better than 81% of the national group of college-bound seniors.”

This is the only information we’re told, so we know that 800s collectively did better than 81% but that’s all we know - don’t sweat it man, an 800 is an 800 and imho that is far more than good enough for everybody. :slight_smile:
