wow why is writing score so much lower than usual…anyone else have the same problem?

me

same problem, also scored ridiculously low on writing… guess I can only blame myself for not finishing the essay on time

Composite: 2140
M: 730
W: 730
CR: 680

I only aspired to break 2000, not shatter it…

@wldb15 @daba10 yea…wow when I took it in January I got the higest score in writing…what’s going on
what did you guys get for the essay?

i got a 780 in january… a 10 , as usual, for the essay…

8 on the essay, so disappointed. Could’ve had 800 on writing. And 700 on math too… Weird, I expected only an error or two. Oh well, not too bad!
(2190: 730/700/760[8E]).
80/80 multiple choices in writing, daaaamn

1330/2050 IM SO HAPPY I BROKE 2000. In january I got an 1830 and my heart was BROKEN. I studied this time and improved my score by 220 points!!!

CR 680
M 650
W 720 (Essay: 9)

Math score is no bueno, actually got worse by 20 points. But in the end, oh well, I broke 2000!

Congratulations to all!!!

@pringles97 - I scored a 6 on my essay and usually score a 9 or a 10!! I don’t know whether this is because the tutor in my SAT course scored me extremely generously or that I just completely missed the topic. I thought my essay was fairly strong and had good examples, however I ran out of time and only managed one sentence in the conclusion.

1210/1830, 20 points better in Math and 20 worse in Reading 1850 superscored. Looks like I’m gonna be prepping all summer again. Any tips on getting a better score next time around? I went to a couple of classes but obviously they did not help

@ daba10 for me the essay was 10 so it was ok…but i guess i flunked the multiple section…i never get more than 6 wrong on multiple choice…what happened…so shocked… are your reading and math sections ok?

@pringles97 - I also felt the multiple choiche section in the writing was a little trickier than usual. Scored 690 on my last practice SAT in the blue book, so my score on the writing section on this test really shocked me and hurt my combined SAT score. Math went well, though I still need some practice to break 700. I am generally just terrible at the CR section and scored a little lower than usual this time around. Definitely looking to retake in the fall…

1270/1860. (690CR/580M/590W) with an 11 essay which really surprised me. On my practice tests it was usually CR/M in the mid to high 500s and writing in the mid 600s, never would’ve expected to nearly hit 700 on CR. I’m amazed my essay was an 11 because I usually get 8s during my prep course. Either way I’m fine with this score because it was in my ~range~

Got a 2020 (770/620/630) but was surprised to get an 8 on the essay. I thought for sure I got at least a 10.

1340/2050. (650CR/690M/710W) with a 10 essay. In the range I wanted… but I still want to improve my CR score so I will probably take the test in October. and yes… I found that my scores were lower in each section than practice exams. I was really nervous! Normally I break 750 in practice math tests… but this time I could barely get to 700. I’ll try to improve this over the summer.

GOOD JOB EVERYONE! :)

670/670/670 so 2010. Only improved 20 since November but no studying so oh well, I have my 33 ACT

Wow. I did a lot better than I thought I would.
740cr. 710 writing. 700 math for a total of 2140!!!

First time taking it and kind of bummed. Got a 580 on CR which I expected. 750 on math which is good but I thought I might have gotten an 800. But really disappointed in the writing. Got a 550 after scoring mid 600’s on all practice tests. An 8 on the essay. What the heck?

@rick44 same thing happened to me the first time I took it! But there’s hope because I i went from a 630 to a 710 in Writing and from a 530 to a 650 in CR. This was just in one month…
