So I just received an email from the Collegeboard regarding my sat score reports to the colleges I am applying EA to. I sent all my scores the day I got back my subject test results (Oct. 22nd), but just yesterday I receive an email from Collegeboard telling me that all scores sent after Oct 14th have been delayed and WILL NOT get to universities in time for the Nov 1st deadline. At this point I am a little freaked out as theres nothing more I can do. No one will answer my call when I contact Collegeboard customer service either…Is all hope lost?
Colleges typically accept results that are delayed in that manner.
Most colleges are going to be flexible I am also told that all rush and most regular are now actually sent no matter what your status says… It should update by 7am tomorrow… Our regular from the 19th were sent yesterday and Ive heard they got regular up to the 28th today done… fingers crossed for you! but email the school and show them the CB email receipt or screen shot that shows when you requested them if they are not sent and you should be ok!
I will guarantee you will get an answer from CB if you wait for 25 minutes on hold… Had to go through it twice lol. I’ve been calling them continuously and today they told me mine have finally been sent. You might want to check with your school and see if they have a grace period, bc I know some schools are super strict and don’t have any leniency.
I am freaking out right now. I just checked this morning and my order on the 22nd is still PENDING!!! For all but U Mich, scores coming in later than Nov1st is ok, but U Mich needs them by today. What should I do? I ordered the scores without rush delivery but all my friends who have had their orders rushed have gotten theirs sent already…
@collegefan909124 - Did you send other scores to Michigan? If they have any scores, your file will be considered complete and they will try to consider your new scores depending on how late they come. But if they have no scores at all, then you will be bumped to RD. Check your Wolverine Access page which will tell you if your file is complete as of today.
@GossamerWings , I sent all my scores on the same day (Oct 22nd) which included my recent sat chemistry score as well as my Sat score. Collegeboard says that the scores will be sent no later than a few more days so the scores will arrive perhaps 2-3 days late. Will U Mich not even consider these scores even though the Collegeboard has explicitly stated it is their fault that my scores were delayed?
Unfortunately Michigan’s policy is unwavering. If you call the admissions office, they have a recorded message saying that they must have your scores on file by November 1st in order for your application to be considered complete, and they recommend sending old scores from last spring. They feel it is unlikely that a senior has not taken a standardized test before this fall and so there should be some score that could have been sent. The school does not require subject tests, so if you sent old SAT scores before this month then your file can be reviewed in the EA phase.
Actually, even before this snafu, Michigan has always said that tests taken in October arrive too late for their EA deadline. But when the September ACT was also late, they made sure their policy above was clear - a score needed to be received by the deadline, even if it was an old one.
