Sat online courses?!?!?

Hi everyone! I'm thinking about taking an SAT course with either Veritas Prep, Kaplan, or The Princeton Review. What are your guys' opinion on them? I scored a 1950 last year as a sophomore, so its not like I'm entering a course knowing absolutely nothing. I want to bring it up to a +2100. What do you guys think I should do?

I’ve done a few SAT courses and review programs, but its hard for most programs to bring up your score from 1950. I think at that level, the best way to improve is through practice from the Blue Book and then reviewing the answers to see what you have missed. It seems to work exceptionally well for a lot of CC’ers and I suggest you look into that.

I’m skeptical of any test prep corporation, especially newcomers like the first one you mentioned. HOWEVER, I realize that there might be some merit in some of what they do.

Contact them and have them tell you what specific skills they teach and how they teach those skills.

Their guarantees are pretty much worthless, by the way, so don’t expect to have an out if you’re dissatisfied.

If you must take an online course, then the College Board’s Official SAT Online Course is probably the one I would recommend, because it provides you with real practice tests that you can use.
