Hey CC, I recently registered for the SAT test in January. After looking over the requirements for photo ID, I noticed that it doesn't allow any form of "expired" ID.

I have a school ID from sophomore year (I'm currently a junior). Will I be allowed to use that as ID even though it's a year old? Or does that count as expired?

Thanks!

That really depends on the school you’re taking it at, though it is a bit risky to go there not knowing if your ID will be valid or not. Personally I wouldn’t risk it.

I don’t even know if they’d accept a school ID (especially if you are taking it away from your high school). Personally, I would take a government issued ID or a driver’s license just to be on the safe side.

They do. That much I’m sure of.

Always be on the safe side. I’d prefer a passport.

I was able to use my ID from last year, but the people at your school might interpret the rules differently so just play it safe.

Thanks guys. The issue has been resolved, I found my ID for this year.
