Sat point system....

Okay so I'm confused on how the sat is scored. You get one point for every correct answer and minus 1/4 for a wrong answer and none for an incomplete answer. but the sat only has like 170 questions all togather plus the essay so how is that scored? Like does each question have like 10 point values in a way? Do the harder questions have more value? Like if I were to get like a 60/67 on the critical reading, how could I figure out my score?

All questions are worth the same.

Let's take your example, a 60/67 on CR. That would mean you answered 4 questions incorrectly and omitted 2.

There is NO direct variation between raw score (-16.75-67)and scaled score (200-800). For every SAT and every practice SAT there is a specific conversion table. For example, that from the October 2005 SAT reads like:

67 - 800
66 - 800
65 - 800
64 - 790
63 - 770
62 - 760
61 - 740
60 - 730

This is pretty typical for an SAT scale. However, the scale from the BB is a little harsher. It gives scale "ranges," which if averaged look like this:

67 - 800
66 - 790
65 - 770
64 - 760
63 - 750
62 - 740
61 - 730
60 - 720

Ohhhh, okaay. Thanks!
