Which books are the best to prepare for SAT 1?
Which books are the best to prepare for SAT 1 alone without any tutors or support?
Is there a way to score 2400 without any tutors?

I have not taken ANY SAT exam in my entire life. I am turning Junior and I am starting to prepare for the SAT. Thanks!

I have used a variety of books and online sources. For the SAT I, the Barron’s review book is really good. It gives good review for test. Its practice tests are slightly harder than the actual tests, so it is a good way to practice. However, it only has several tests, so it is not enough. I would recommend getting the collegeboard book for practice tests. In my opinion, those two together are the best sources for studying the SAT without tutors or support.

I had a HUGE headache with the vocab, but I found that sparknotes’ flash cards are really helpful. There are around 1000 words in there, so if you memorize them, you are set. What Barron’s also has is a vocab glossary, with recommended vocab. I used those, and they helped me a lot.

Gruber’s guide to the SAT for math
Grammatix for CR
Kaplan for Writing
PR for strategies
Ivy Insiders for strategies too
Barrons for tests and CB blue book too
Vocab, just memorize
I used Simon’s Saga for the SAT, really good if you have time to go through it one chapter at a time
hope that helps
