SAT Reasoning vs. SAT Subject Tests

I know this is the time of year that these forums are inundated with questions about applications and standardized tests, so I apologize for this. I'm currently a senior, and I am applying to UVA. I signed up to take three SAT subject tests in December, but I am currently reconsidering. I know they are not required, but they obviously help. I was somewhat disappointed in my regular SAT math score which was barely withing the middlle 50% for UVA. My somewhat low math grade has made me consider switching my SAT subject tests to the regular SAT. Would it be better for me to change my test type or take the two recommended subject tests? Math 2 was one of the subject tests I was planning to take if that matters. Would a good grade on a Math 2 SAT subject test overshadow the math section of the regular SAT? For what it's worth, math is one of my best subjects in school. I'm sure either my SAT math section or Math 2 Subject Test would have a higher score than my old math section score.
