SAT Score acceptance at Certain School

Hey guys!

So I am currently a junior, and I took the SAT twice. I took it once in my Sophomore year and got an 800 in Math and 700 in reading. I then took it again in August of this year and got a 780 in math and 770 in reading.

I have two questions regarding this. My first is that upon talking to a counselor, i found out that some schools, namely Carnegie Mellon, do not accept SAT Scores taken before Junior year. That would make my first SAT invalid and thus I won’t be able to super score it. Do you guys know if any other of the top schools do it, and can you provide me with a list of a few notable ones if possible?

My second question is that the SAT i took this year, I took it on the day right before school starts. Will that be considered as an SAT i took as a junior or a sophmore?

Thanks for all your help!

CMU is unique. And while they prefer scores from junior and senior year, they do not prohibit earlier scores.

The 20 point will seriously not make a difference. Regardless, CMU does not superscore.
