I'm a junior and plan to apply Carnegie Mellon next year.
I read from their admission website, it says: Only junior or senior test results are acceptable (for SAT I and SAT II).
I called their admission office this morning, the lady said: yes, we only accept junior and senior scores for SAT's..........
OMG, I already took all my subjects during my freshman and sophomore years. Do I have to re-take them as the admission staff suggested?

Anybody who applied CMU this year can give me suggestions ?

I hope that isn’t the case because D was in the same situation. She took the Bio test sophomore year. She called the admin office and they said not to worry about it. Now, I’m worrying…

I took two of my SAT IIs soph and fresh year! I want to apply to Carnegie Mellon next year. I’m not retaking sciences that I got a 750+ on! That’s so dumb I hope they don’t actually care that much.

I’m hoping it is not a problem. My child did math 2 and physics freshman year (780 and 800) and Lit sophomore year (780). He is in upper level college math courses now and it seems just plain silly to go back. And, I’m sure we have had kids from our school get into CMU in the past who also took at least one subject test early - our kids take physics in 9th grade, so many take the physics subject test then .

To Those Who Had The Same Question About CM and SAT IIs:
So, in the end, did it matter that those SAT IIs were not taken junior or senior year?
Thanks!
