I have not taken the SAT yet. I plan on taking it January 28th.

What my question is, say I turn up on test day, and for any reason, I perform horribly.

I get sick in the middle of the test, etc.

And with this distraction, sickness, etc., I score drastically lower than what I should have. (1900 instead of my predicted 2250+ from practice tests)

How does cancellation work?

If I cancel the score, will colleges be able to see that I canceled? Because I will be applying to top 20 universities. And essentially, this bad score will take up the place of my one of three examinations. (As more than three SAT scores may seem obsessive and may put off certain prestigious colleges)

What would I have to do to ensure that colleges don't see this canceled examination or any sign that I canceled a score?

How exactly do cancellations work?

Would I have to cancel before my score arrives? After?

Thanks in advance!
