For the following colleges: Harvard, Caltech, Columbia, Brown, Cornell, Williams, Northwestern, JHU, and Rice. Do any of these actually take into account ALL SAT II scores, so that lower ones can hurt me? Because if not, I just want to send all scores to these colleges, and not use Score Choice, which just confuses everything. The websites for these colleges aren't clear on SAT II's...they clearly say whether they allow Score Choice for SAT I's, but I know Subject Tests are diff. Anyone know? Thanks!

I’ve heard that you are allowed to use score choice for SAT II’s whenever. But I don’t know if that’s actually true…

^Yea, ugh, where the hell can I find the answer to this question.

The best way to get a question like this answered in my opinion is by giving one (or more, if you deem necessary) of the admissions offices of these universities a call and asking them. That’s what I did when I was applying, and they always seemed willing to give me attention. No need to give them your name either over the phone, if you have any concerns about that.

Some schools require you to send ALL test scores in. The won’t allow score choice. Not sure – you’ll have to check their admissions website, but I’m pretty sure Rice U is one of them.

You can use score choice just for SAT II’s for Rice. But you have to send all SAT scores…I checked.

As to two of them, Northwestern and JHU, neither requires IIs but recommends three and will consider any sent whether more or less than three.
