Hi guys I recently just took the November SAT and got my score back. I know I can score much higher, but I wanted to know what materials and such were the best for the areas I need to improve.

I got these scores:

CR:730
M:620

W:560(MCQ:55/Essay:8)

Total: 1910

I loosely prepared, just barely studying. Is it recommended to retake in January? I need at least a 2200+ and I know I can bring up CR and hopefully writing easily.

I wanted to know what workbooks to use for all three subjects.
I’ve heard good things about Erica Meltzer’s Grammar Guide and already own her Critical Reading book. I don’t really know what book to use for math though.

what do you want to study ? It makes a whole difference if you want to study philosophy or physics. The official collegeboard book is decent for the maths as long as you don’t aim for 800. Otherwise i would recommend the princeton review. If you really want a high score in math you can add the Dr.chung with the princeton review.

For the rest i don’t know

Nice CR!
First of all, you should get on the good grammar guides here on CC. I recommend silverturtle’s guide. You are literate and read well, so learning the grammar and a few basic essay strategies should get you into the 700s rapidly.

I’m planning a double major (One degree in business/accounting and the other in bio/pre-med).

Then you’ll want to get that math score in the 700+ even 750+. So take the challenging books.

Use Noitaprep’s guide for CR and use blue book practice tests (helped me improve 200 pts). For Writing, either just take practice tests from the blue book, learn what you get wrong, and why learn the writing rules that way (what I did to improve 200 pts) or read silverturtle’s guide (I would’ve done this but it was too long and I didn’t have time) For math, just do what I did for writing.
