Hello all,
I am currently studying for the SAT and my scores have been fluctuating frequently. For example, my writing score can go up to 710 the first week and lower to 610 the following week. Has anyone ever experienced the same situation before? Though it is natural to fluctuate between a few points, I find it hard to believe that scores can drop or rise 100 points between just one test in a week!
Maybe you weren’t concentrated at all. Your scores can drop a little bit. Writing is the easiest part of the SAT to increase.
Did you take the first test as the real one?
Did you apply all the rules for writing?
@Jr12317 Yes, I applied all the rules and both are collegeboard practice tests. Perhaps I wasn’t concentrated enough. I just can’t get over the miserable fluctuation roller coaster. It doesn’t seem normal to lower and raise so dramatically.
That can happen sometimes. Remember that each practice test can have a different curve for each section, even the writing, so the difficulty can fluctuate in that regard. Always remember to apply everything you do to each practice test just as the above poster suggested
