SAT score importance at Brown

I know that SAT scores are looked at when being considered for acceptance; however, if you have a great academic transcript (as in straights As in high level, AP classes), then if you have a somewhat low GPA (say like a 2000), would they reject you because of that score?

Brown does not have a cut off score for the SAT. Especially for a score like 2000, there is no automatic rejection. However, that is on the low end for an unhooked student – it really helps to give Brown a compelling reason to accept you in that range.

Solely on academics they will try to compare the difficulty of the curriculum in your high schools to other high school to see if you’re that strong. But they will also look at other parts of the application. Low SAT won’t directly get you a reject.
