SAT Score Problem

<p>Hey, I was just wondering if any of you guys could help me figure out what was up. I took the January SATs and my scores were
Reading-550
Writing-630
Math-680
Essay-9</p>

<p>I took the March SATs and got my scores back and got
Reading-490
Writing-670
Math-740
Essay-11</p>

<p>I find this extremely weird because inbetween for preparation, all I did was take a Critical reading-only course and I thought it would have helped me out a ton. Overall I know I did pretty well, but I'm just really upset with my Critical Reading and I honestly have no idea how it happened and what I could do about it. Any ideas?</p>

<p>And also, this really bugs me because I REALLY want to go to UMD-College Park but I think they wouldn’t like my reading scores at all. I’m an out of stater with a high 80’s GPA but that is in a school where I take entirely IB Courses.</p>
