SAT score question IS & OSS

I'd love to hear from those who received an acceptance from UNC.
Would you share your SAT scores?
I'm looking to see what the lower end of IS and OOS accepted application people look like.
please note IS or OOS and your SATs and if you were accepted ED, deferred and then accepted, or RD accepted.
thanks
i will double post this when i figure out how.

OOS

SAT: 2080
ACT: 32

Accepted RD

hey.
thanks for your response.
did you apply rd?
32 act is pretty impressive.
since UNC doesn't count writing, what was your cr and math?
thanks again.
any knowledge of anyone else from out of state?
and how do you like unc?
sherbear

1510 SAT OOS

accepted early

Yeah I applied regular decision.
On the SAT I had 700 on math and 680 on verbal. On the ACT it was something like 35 for English and 29 for math.
I have OOS friends that have scored both above and below me.

I absolutely love it at UNC. :)

Thanks for taking the time to respond. ALso glad to hear you're loving UNC. Where are you from?
We've got until the 20th to learn if my S's SAT scores will rise.
SHerbear

2130 IS Early acceptance.

800 math
710 writing
700 reading

Early Decision: Accepted
Loving every bit of Chapel Hill!

wow.
800 math?
700 reading.
i'd imagine you would have been awarded early decision acceptances at quite a few places. glad you're loving UNC.
where are you from?
and what other schools did you strongly consider?

Wow, UNC Faithful, those are some nice numbers.

I'm from North Carolina.
I hail from a town up above greensboro called Reidsville.
I was not considering any other colleges.
Duke is so overrated outside a couple of subjects.
There's nothing good going on at State, besides engineering.
Wake is too small.
I wasn't planning on going to any out-of-state school.
Sooooo.... it was a simple decision.
I didn't apply anywhere else.
UNC is the place to be!

SherBear, I'm from Long Island, New York.

glad you love it!
you're pretty far from home, so i'm happy to hear you've been enjoying your decision.
do you have any alumni parents?
my son's math is 720, which we're all pleased with; howeveer, his verbal is only 620.
his grades, his course rigor, his class ranking--all great.
but that verbal score's just not happening.
sigh.
he is a legacy, so maybe, maybe . . . .

Nope, not a legacy.

And my uncle went to Duke actually haha

are there may people from NT ar UNC?
do you think my son has a shot?

UNC is great, I just visited. On the other hand, it seems to be a factory and I think that you don't get thank much individual attention at large schools. I would be a legacy at Columbia or Rutgers but these schools are just too big. Anyone agree?

What does NT stand for...?

Mitch, you get the individual attention if you go looking for it. Honestly, that's my one (seriously, it's the only thing) I don't like about UNC.

oops.
meant New York (NY).
can you chance my son?

Haha sure? I mean honestly it's kind of a crap shoot. I knew people at my high school with higher scores than me that didn't get in, and people with lower scores that did.

I know a decent amount of people from NY I guess. I can think of about 6 others from Long Island off the top of my head (one other from my high school chose to attend), one from NYC, and my good friend GetOuttaBuffalo is from, well, Buffalo haha.
