Let's say I decide to apply EA/ED to a school, and take the SAT I or II (for a second time) soon after the deadline...can I do that and send it into the school after my application?

Thanks

Let's say I decide to apply EA/ED to a school, and take the SAT I or II (for a second time) soon after the deadline...can I do that and send it into the school after my application?

Thanks

yes...

For example,
Even though Yale EA's deadline is Nov. 1st, they still accept November SAT scores.

I think for the most part yes, but you should make sure with the college you're applying to.

I'm very tempted to apply to Yale SCEA, mostly because I would love to know at least one college decision before Christmas...

Currently I have a 1940 SAT I am planning to retake in October, and a 620 Math I am planning to retake in November. How would that fit in with applying SCEA to Yale? Would it be good or bad? Am I rushing the process at the expense of my own opportunities?

Yeah, I'd retake.

I got a 770 on USH and 750 on Lit. So I am really hoping to get my Math II score up so it doesn't offset those higher scores.

But the SAT I comes first...I think I'll take it in October and the Math SAT II in November...

take it in october....

they need a good excuse if you want to take it late (usually)

^take what in October? The SAT II Math?

Should I just not even try SCEA, but stick with RD and make sure all my tests have the scores I want?

I want to apply to UPenn ED and have a similar issue.

I already took the SAT I but want to raise my score so I'm taking it in Oct. I took 4 SAT IIs already but Penn recommends a language test so I need to take one in Nov. They say to do rush delivery for ED applicants/Nov tests.

Will taking a SAT II that late in Nov affect my chances of getting in? (like they obviously don't like it but will that factor/be considered in the admissions process?)

^^good question...can someone answer that for us?

^ Taking the SAT/ACT/SAT 2's in November doesn't affect your chances unless your already sent scores are already low and you do significantly better in November.

I doubt adcoms really care when applicants take the SAT/ACT/SAT 2's so long as the scores are sent in time for evaluation.

@ivyleaguewannabe, I really would suggest that you take the SAT as opposed to the SAT Math Lvl 2 in November if your scores are low. The SAT is factored more heavily in admission process than SAT 2's and Yale will only consider your highest two scores, which are already good. Go ahead and SCEA Yale.

^Thanks. Also, I will need financial aid...Does applying EA (or SCEA) limit my finaid opportunities?

i don't think so... at least not as much as ED
