My D is taking the SATs again (as I write this) today, and I just went onto the Collegeboard site and noticed that these scores will not be available online until 11/2, which is after the 11/1 deadline that several of her EA schools have. The scores are being sent to these schools, but what about the place on the applications where you are supposed to type in the scores received? Should we just list the date and leave the three spaces blank where the numbers should go? Her previous scores are there, but obviously she is hoping that today's will be better. As always, thanks in advance for the "newbie" mom!

Today's SAT should be fine for all EA/ED schools. This said, the best advice is to check the website for each school for confirmation. Schools receive the scores electronically and there is no need to rush scores. Also check the application for boxes where you write down the dates of upcoming tests.

PS In many cases, the November SAT are still acceptable.

It's okay. Fill in the information you currently have, including the scores (the score may stay the same or rise or, perish the though, go down; you don't know yet). The deadline is for the applicant's portion of the dossier. Most EA schools also accept scores from the November admission anyway. They will also require the official score report and take the highest scores.

Hoping she does well today!

OK, I have another question about the scores. We're having the scores sent to the 4 free schools, so of course that report will include today's SATII. If I now pay for the scores to go to the other 3 schools, will the report also include today's test, or will they process the request now so they'll get the prior tests but not today's? Should I wait to pay for the other 3 until we get today's score?
