SAT scores just sent for EA...will there be a problem?

Hey guys,

Something happened when I originally sent my scores to the colleges I was applying early to, and for whatever reason they didn't go to MIT. I just rechecked and I have no idea how I missed it, but I did. I sent them rushed just a few minutes ago....but they were self reported on my app. What do you think they'll do?

I can’t speak for Chris or Mollie, of course, but I wouldn’t wager that its a big problem; they seem to be very lenient about SAT’s, considering they allow EA applicants to take November tests. My scores came in for Math II last Monday, which means they had to spend nearly a month evaluating my application without knowing that score, whereas you at least were able to report it.

I think that if they decided to accept you EA, they’d probably mark you down as it and just make sure sometime in the last couple of days before decisions that your scores come in, and verify them. If they weren’t to arrive on time, I guess as a formality they’d probably need to defer you to the regular action pool, but since you sent them rush I really wouldn’t worry about it if I were you.

Great, thanks for the clear answer. Obviously you don’t know for sure, but your angle on it makes me feel a lot more comfortable.

Thanks!
