<p>On my SAT's, I got a 770 WITHOUT the writing component. I got a 460 on the writing component so my total score is a 1230.
Is my SAT score so bad that I won't be able to get into any colleges?

<p>What grade are you in? If you’re at least a Junior and have taken the SAT for the first time, all hope is not lost. Get an SAT book online and study though the summer months when you have time. If you are a senior, I would say your best bet would be going to a local college and apply yourself. You can always transfer, but you’re scores should go up if you want to make many colleges obtainable.</p>

<p>You can certainly start in CC. You might also be able to make your local directional state college. I looked at the Common Data Set for the local U and your scores would land about the 25%ile level. Have you checked the info on your local colleges?</p>
