So I followed the Xiggi method after taking multiple times tests using PR and Kaplan didn't raise my score. And I was enormously upset at my pathetic 194 on my PSAT in my Junior year.

So on the BB Test 6, I got a 2240 (took median value of all the sections since BB has a 100-pt range). On BB Test 7, I got a 2150.

I'm just curious as to what people actually got on the SATs after taking tests from the BB. Any responses would be much appreciated!

I think I remember some threads on this from the past. Some people reported scores lower than what they got on the BB tests, some scored about the same, and some scored higher. So it seems to be different for different people. Maybe someone can confirm this.

^ Wow that's crazy. I've found the BB tests much harder than the PSAT. Hopefully that means the real test will be a lot easier than the BB, although that's not what I've heard.

I'm not really sure what the BB is. I wasn't able to afford stuff to study with =/

The PSAT seemed to have many trick questions, as opposed to the SATs (math I'm talking about) which seemed to be simple logic.

CR can be rough, I got lucky and knew most of the vocab already. I know it was luck because my second test I actually bombed the vocab, my CR score dropped from 780 to a 680 lol, but thankfully superscore. I assume studying vocab helps MAJORLY.

Good writing should nail a good writing score. Although I have MAJOR complaints about that too.

First time I took the writing I got none wrong on the MC and a 10 on the essay. My scorers? One said a 6, one said a 4. OUTRAGEOUS in my opinion, that there can be such drastic differences, one person seeing perfect one person seeing mediocre. That ended me a 760 or 780.

Second time I got a 12 on the essay, and got 6 wrong on the MC. 800. What the hell is with these SAT graders for the writing section?

That's why, IMO, colleges should just look at CR and math.

My son had a 540/700/520 = 1760 the first time he took the SAT.
Second time result was a 560/650/580 = 1790 and a superscore of 560/700/580 = 1840

Then he used the Xiggi method and took the course from "testmasters180" for studying just the critical reading section and retook the test.

New result: 650/660/600 = 1910 and a superscore SAT of 650/700/600 = 1950

In my view, the Xiggi method works--at least as applied by the "testmasters180" group (not to be confused with just the normal "testmasters" group.

take 1-2 tests open book, using outside rsrces, no time limit. spend abt 1 hr (doing q's & reviewing answers) per section.

take 2-3 tests w/no time limit but no outside rsrces.

take last few tests following time limit & try shedding a few min.

in all honesty, if i just thought rationally, i would be able to get around 750 for all sections. i just have an issue with misinterpreting some CR q's..
