SAT scores on applications

The common app and other apps ask you to self report your SAT scores. I took the SAT in 10th grade and made a dreadful score. I'm taking it again in October, hoping for a 2200. Do I have to report my old SAT score? Colleges will see it on the grade report sent to them by College Board anyways.

No, of course not--unless you want to them to superscore.

Same with SAT IIs.

If you take it thrice, and let's say your second sitting was your best one: you could just write down/type your second score and its date on the Common App.

Sweet, thanks.

If the college is going to see the score--and it is--you may as well report it. Do you really think they care how you scored in tenth grade if you have a higher subsequent score?
