SAT Scores Out Early???

Are the SAT scores coming out next week?

I heard of that rumor..
that they are really coming out early and that April 11th is just the date Collegeboard.com gave out to keep themselves safe from complaints in case errors erupt...

What do you guys think??

i doubt it. i've never heard of college board finishing scoring weeks before the date they say they will finish. no one can say for sure tho, so just relax and move on with other things! i've felt the same anxiety over other SATs and its not worth it

they usually posted the scores 1-2 days early b4 though

I wouldn't count on 'early' for these exams -- remember that there's now an essay portion that needs to be graded!

But yes, tradtionally the scores are available at least a day early online.

Although in the past few testings, they have stuck solidly to their posted announcement date.

do you have to pay to get the online? or do you need an account?

you need an account, i believe. and you
ll know around april 11ish? not sure the exact date since i didn
t take the new SAT. and no, they will not come out earlier than the date projected.

The essay does not necessarily delay score reporting by two weeks. Keep in mind that for the SAT Reasoning tests after the March 12th one, CB goes back to the schedule of releasing scores two weeks after the test. Since all the tests include the essay, the essay alone does not account for the delay for the March 12th test. CB must have something else in mind.

so it is possible that some students scores are put early online then except the essays...or maybe they just put them on as they go?

if i registered online for the SAT, am i automatically able to check for my score online?

yes.. its included in the package

I had my account at CB before I took my first SAT exam, but I'm pretty sure that if you use the information (socsec#, etc) that you signed up with, you can make an account that will get your test scores.

The reason it is taking so long for the March SATs to grade is because so many took it and gradding the essay.
