Hello I am currently a Junior in high school, I am obviously gonna be taking the SATS next year in May. I was wondering what did yall get on your SATS? or your highest SAT score? How did you guys study for it and approximately how much months or days or etc.. did it take you of studying to get that score?
- Also if you can include what are some good books to get that helped you do well on the SAT.

1850 first time, 100% sure that I could of done better (didn’t do as well because I only got 5-6 hours of sleep probably from anxiety). I took the a classroom Princeton Review course, completed the College Board book, and got half way through the PR 11PT. Look for the Xiggi Method on this website it helped me really understand what the SAT is about (too bad I read it after taking the test!). If you can’t find the Xiggi Method, PM me. Good luck!

Thanks man for replying. Anyone else?

2030 > 2140 > 2230

I barely prepared from the time of my 1st to my last. I think the 200 difference was due to my attitude - if you tell yourself that the SAT doesn’t define you, and just go in with a clear head, you’ll do great! Though, I do recommend the Direct Hits books for CR - that was the 1 thing that I had done from the 2030 to the 2230. If you’re below a 2000, I think you could benefit from Barrons and the BB. Practice! Once you’re in the 2100’s, I think it’s your attitude that makes the difference.
I know 2230 isn’t GREAT, but it’s enough to be in the running for the Ivies.

I wish you the best. :)

Took it first time my Junior Year (in January) and scored a 2170 cold with little sleep (FIFA tournament in my dorm haha). Scores were CR 790, Math and Writing were both 690.

Second time, I took one practice test, read the grammar rules from the Princeton Review book, and looked through a bunch of writing problems that CCers had posted on this forum. Less than 5 hours of prep in total, partly because once I figured out all the Writing Problems that CCers who had spent dozens of hours identifying as the toughest, I could increase my Writing to an 800. Finished with a 2310 (CR 800, W 800, M 710).

I’m thinking of rethinking considering I’ve only spent 5 hours prepping for the test so any thoughts would be appreciated.

Good luck!

Haha that’s real nice man
anyone else?
