SAT scores

Hey guys! I took the June SAT and my results came back. I got a 990. Reading and writing was 490 and math was 500. My goal was 1000 originally but now I want to aim for 1200 and up. How should I approach a goal of 200 point increase? And what are some good books to study from? Thank you!

I highly recommend Khan Academy. Here’s why:

  1. It’s free. Enough said.
  2. It’s portable. You can study on your phone from anywhere you have service.
  3. It’s personalized. You can link your PSAT scores and it will help you specifically target your weak spots.
  4. It’s organized. You can schedule practices to help you reach your studying goal.

It’s great that you’re trying to improve! Everyone is so proud of you!

Dude I know how you feel right now. Are you a rising junior? senior? Probably doesn’t matter but if you’re taking the August SAT I agree with @ski_racer to use Khan Academy. They literally break all the Math and English topics down so you understand and get used to all of them. I got a 1050, but I’m not going to let that stop me. I will study my butt off and work for a 1500+ You can do it, trust me. Don’t give up hope.

@ski_racer thank you! :slight_smile:

Thanks! You can do it as well! I’m thinking about taking the October SAT to improve my score. Oh and I’m a rising senior :slight_smile: @JasmineArmani
