Hello all! Well I'll be starting school in a matter of days and would just like to see if any of you have any good study tips for a good study plan for the SAT? I plan on taking the October test to just hurry up and get it over with as soon as possible with an estimated sore of 1800-1900 range? I took a prep course over the summer and honestly it did not help me out that much. My highest score was a 1680 and I'm really trying to get into the 1800s range for my first SAT. I am going to get the college board blue book for my choice of prep during the year. Any good writing section books out there? My writing is what I struggle the most with. Thank you!
My specific scores where:
M: 600
CR: 570
W: 510
Essay: 9
NOTE: I have heard that the practice tests I took at my prep course were generally harder than the real SAT so I'm hopping my 1680 was actually a 1700. Anyways thank you!

Don’t take any practice tests that are not produced by the College Board. When companies make their own practice tests, they don’t adequately assess or prepare you for the questions written by CB.

I one download and print (don’t do it online, it won’t be like the real test if you do that)
<a href=“SAT Practice and Preparation – SAT Suite | College Board”>SAT Practice and Preparation – SAT Suite | College Board. Take it all in one sitting.

For the SAT Writing section, try The Ultimate Guide to SAT Grammar by Erica Meltzer. I also like McGraw-Hill’s book (but only do their questions for the activities, do only real CB questions for everything else.

What made your SAT class not as effective for you?

I wouldn’t take the SAT until you are ready though, so make sure you can get an 1800-1900 on a full-length practice test before you take the SAT.
