<p>For those schools that require sat subj matter tests and if a student is taking the Math SAT subject matter test is their an admission preference for Level 2 over Level 1 ?</p>

<p>UCs do not accept the math 1 and thus if you submit a math, it needs to be math 2. Stanford recommends math 2 if you submit a math. Caltech requires math 2 of all applicants. Some colleges that want two SAT IIs require math 2 if you are applying for engineering (and possibly science). Thus, you need to check colleges carefully if you are applying for engineering or science. Outside of that you can submit either one to most colleges that require or recommend SAT IIs and it does not matter which.</p>
