sat subject test for italian

Ok, so i speak italian (because I was born there) but now live in Ohio so I was going to take the SAT subject test in Italian because I figured it would not be as hard. However, I didn't want to go in it with NO preparation at all, since there's also going to be grammar questions and stuff. I've looked at barnes&nobles and online but I cannot find a study guide book for the subject test in italian. COuld someone who has taken this test before (especially those who may be in my situation) post their score, how many years of italian they had when they took the test and what book they used to prepare for the test? My goal is to get an 800. Oh, and the test date is early december so I have a little under 2 months to prepare.

Grazie :)

no one knows??

The reason why there isn’t a prep book for this particular test is because so few people take it, not to mention the fact that Italian isn’t taught as part of most high schools’ foreign language curricula. Although I don’t speak Italian, I’m quite adept in a number of other languages, and often just get grammar review books and watch movies/TV show episodes in those languages whenever I need a refresher.

I’m in the same position–I’ve taken Italian for five years and now I’m taking the sat II on the only date it’s available and there seems to be no material out there!

BUT I decided to check amazon.com and there was an actual SAT II Italian book (got awful reviews) and I found some old AP Italian books available (they got great reviews) and decided to purchase one of them. Even though the College Board no longer offers the AP, I figured it can’t hurt to prepare for the SAT II like it was an AP considering there’s no other books out there. Hope this helps, in bocca lupo! :)
