I have an overview of Physics, but haven’t completed the full course (and the courses in my school are greatly simplified) but I have resolved to take the SAT II Physics Test on January 24th and bought the PR book for Physics.
However, to succeed, I need a really good schedule to follow and I need to know if it’s possible to score really well just by studying from now up till January 24th?
I’d really appreciate it if any of you can give me confirmation this is possible and how many hours a day I should study for?
E.g. 2 hours a day? 3 hours a day?
Depends. If you are a fast learner, 4-5 hrs/week should be enough. If you feel like you need more practice, go for 1 hr/day first week and increase gradually. But again, keep in mind that you only have 2.5 weeks. Going straight for 3 hrs/day will be extremely boring. I also think PR is pretty boring, so try finding videos online to teach you the topic to keep yourself interested. After learning the topic, try the exercises. Then try Barron’s practice tests. You will get pretty low on them but it definitely will open up your mind.
I personally did not study at all and got 800, but then again I am one of those awkward people who reads physics in her spare time for pleasure. My experience is from tutoring my friends.
Well, good luck!
