! SAT Subject Test Prep Book List*

i'm looking for math IIC books and judging from what you guys are saying, barrons and PR are the best ones..just for clarification, is the PR one called Cracking the SAT Math 1 and 2 Subject Tests? that's the only one i've been able to find so far..or is there one just for math 2?

^Yea thats the PR one. Barrons is definitely worth it.

From what I hear Kaplan and PR work best for Bio E/M when bought together. Do you guys Agree/Disagree?

4 apush

my teacher recommended getting REA he said in his experience it was the best

are there any eye opening differences between the apush test and the sat II us history?

APUSh requires extensive essays, is around 3 hours in length; SAT II is an hour, all multiple choice.

oh and Win8282: for sat II lit, i am not sure, but i think that merely knowing popular literary devices is all that is needed (you know, parallelism, onomatopeia, etc).

what do you guys recommend for chem?

so far, for SAT US History
people are recommending PR and Dummies book?
which is better? if you want something around 770

I got an 800 for chem. This is the advice i received prior to the test:

if u want an 800, use Barrons guide, the prac tests are VERY hard, if u can get around 760, you're solid
if ur fine with a 750, PR will get you there in no time.

I'm still hearing anything about Kaplan Math IIC book. Has anybody used it? Please give me some feedback. I finished princeton. I'm going to do practice test on McGraw hill and Kaplan. But if Kaplan isn't any good, I will switch to Barron's.

World History - Barron's. You will get 800 if you know it.

For physics ..
I looked at the PR/Sparknotes stuff, and it's not too bad.
I look at the Barron's tests and basically give up ....

Can someone confirm (1 person said it ..) that Barron's lvl knowledge is not needed for the Subject Test?

So is PR best for Literature? o.o

I'm using PR for Physics .. taking it in June.

sorry to sound like a broken record, but whats the deal with lit? i have a 2006 PR book, but theres only like 3 tests. noting that, whats the second best book? im gonna go with kaplan, it has 8 practices tests (and i really only need practice tests for something like lit). anyone else want to put in some input?

barrons good enough for math IC (i dont think i could comprehend math IIC b/w now and june)? i'm assuming it is good enough for both, considering what i've read here. and for ush, combo of amsco+kaplan+pr is pretty fool proof, right?

What do you guys think is the best for the world History Exam? I’ll also be taking AP World History at the same time and will be using PR for it. What else should I use? Please help! THANKS

So Barrons or Princeton Review for Math 2 ?? :S

^ I would go with Barron’s. Personally, I like overpreparation. Never used PR though.

Hmm ok thanks. Yeah i’m not a genius in math or anything so i think i’ll go with barrons

^ just a heads up, don’t get too discouraged with Barron’s… I’m not someone who’s amazing at math, but I’m far from bad at it, and Barron’s questions are hard -_-
If you do decent on the model tests, you should do very well on the real test. Good luck :)
