Sat Subject Test World History Discussion

Hey guys,

What did you think about today’s world history test?

Quotes were hard. I finished the test though. Thought it was hard but am self studying. What did you put for the Polynesian questions?

@flowerboy I remember one where I said they brought crops and domesticated animals with them when they migrated…pretty sure that was wrong though.

Yeah, I put they came from America, but that definitely wasn’t it. What’d you guys put for the region without a pro-communist government? Also, how about Akbar and his appointments to office?

For the region with out a pro communist government I said North America - the Caribbean was another answer choice so I thought we were supposed to separate the Caribbean from the rest of North America.

Akbar Hindu plus Islam, put North America also,

For Akbar and his appointments to office I said he allowed both Hindus and Muslims (religious toleration). Was meritocracy the answer to a different question?

Yes. I Said it was a meritocracy as well where Akbar elected Muslims and Hindus for political reasons.

I got the question wrong where it said what Greek city had the most women’s rights. I put Athens, but I think the answer was Sparta.

Yeah, and that’s weird because a lot of our questions were the same as those on June 2014’s test. Also, was Bolivar inspired by the enlightenment, and did the Mexican independence guy say that decree to try to put off the foreign issue?

I don’t remember meritocracy, but I know I put “elected Muslims and Hindus for political reasons”

I ruled out Carribbean because of Cuba

Bolivar, I put Enlightenment and the Mexican independence guy was Hidalgo and I did put him for an answer to a question.

I said Sparta only because I recalled seeing the question before - maybe in the Barron’s review book. I agree with Simon Bolivar and The Enlightenment.

Was Lech Walesa the answer to the question about who would agree with Gandhi’s non-violent methods. Also, what is the wailing wall?

That’s who I put. Wailing wall’s a place in Jerusalem,

What were the answer choices for wailing wall questions?

  1. A holy place for the Jewish faith in Jerusalem (Correct Answer)
  2. A wall outside the Tower of London (What I said) I don't remember any of the other options

There was a question regarding a king and his punishment methods, it was a quote. Which was it?

For the women’s rights one I guessed athos lol

Was there a question with Lenin as an answer?
