SAT Subject Tests

Hello!
So on June 6, I’m taking two SAT Subject Tests (Physics and Math Level II) to submit to colleges (namely MIT and UChicago). As a prospective astrophysics major, I’ve done some research and found that to be in the top 90% for these schools, you need a nearly perfect score on these Subject Tests. To anyone who’s taken them: how realistic is this? I’ve scored a 2160 on my SAT (I’m retaking it in the fall), and I’ve always done well in math and especially physics. Any tips?

Math is pretty easy, just make sure you take enough practice tests to get a feel for the exam and review week areas. If you’ve taken precalculus you should be fine. Im also taking physics on June 6 and just skimmed over the barrons book and took a few practice tests for it.

On math level 2, you can miss 5 or 6 questions and still get an 800. And an 800 is only like 85% percentile…I’m not familiar with the physics test though

On math level 2, please remember to bring a graphing calculator if possible. If I had one, I’m pretty sure I wouldve aced it. Too bad I was stuck with a casio scientific.
I’ve heard good things about physics regarding how easy it is compared to the other sciences, but as asdfvac mentioned, take some practice tests and make sure you know the stuff. Good luck tomorrow!
