SAT Test Prepartion Books/Guides

<p>Seeing as I couldn't find a thread for this, I thought many users might find it useful to have a reference point for some excellent books or guides relating to SAT test preparation and techniques.</p>

<p>Obviously, every individual is different, and you may find that certain ways of preparing for tests work better for you than other people, and vice versa, but this doesn't mean that you've already found the best way for you to prepare - trust me, from experience!</p>

<p>So without further delay, i'll 'get the ball rolling', so to speak:
(Please note, I have used 'shortened' links rather than pasting the entire long URL links here, in order to 'tidy up' the aesthetic appearance of my post!)</p>

<p>'Up Your Score' -
Having previously experienced how useful the older 'Up Your Score' (published ~2004) book is for SAT preparation, I have no doubts that this will follow in suit with the techniques and invaluable wisdom which I gained from the first book.
I would stress however, that as I do not actually own a copy of this new publication, I am unable to comment on the specific content of the book itself, but rather

<p>'Get The Best Grades - With The Least Amount Of Effort' -
This would have to be my personal must-have in this list, while it may not be as lengthy as some of the Amazon alternatives, it contains some of the best preparation techniques I have ever used - and the best thing is that they don't involve relearning information in some incredibly complex way, but instead how to remember and access the information you already know in a far more effective way!
Being an eBook, this has both advantages and disadvantages - unlike the Amazon books you may find yourself yearning for something physical to <em>hold</em>, but, unlike the Amazon books, the eBook is downloadable instantly after payment (and no shipping charges!) and can be used/accessed on a wide range of Smartphones/Tablets (iPhone, iPad, etc) so it's far easier to keep with you to have a 'brush up' on your techniques when you have five minutes spare!</p>

<p>(Oh, and I'd also add that the techniques in 'Get The Best Grades ...', unlike many of the other preparation books, can be transitioned across a wide range of exams and are not only SAT-specific!)

<p>'The Official SAT Study Guide, 2nd Edition'
Featuring 10 practice tests, this book, published by The College Board, does not cover the topics as in depth as the other guides, but rather opts to include vital pieces of information for each SAT section.
Coming from The College Board itself, there are obviously a number of advantages to this book, and the excellently written content only adds to these advantages, producing, overall, a fantastic guide if you're looking for something with not too much depth to get you started with your preparation.
