SAT tommorrow and what am I doing here?!

Someone tell me please!

I don't know... but I have them in November, which is kind of like tomorrow, but different. I suggest you take 3-4 practice SATs today, then study all night and drink 4.36 gallons of caffeine tomorrow morning. That has been proven as the best and most effective way of doing well on tests (well compared to various rocks that took the test. Granite was found to be the smartest, earning a 610 on the new SAT).

Actually you should just be relaxing now, because you should've studied up for it already and cramming last minute (which is very hard for the SAT because you need to know HOW to do things for the SAT, not WHAT to do) will make things worse.

Besides, being here is good. Seeing all the impossibly high scores on this site will motivate you to do better.

That last sentence ^ is a lie, they make you wanna kill yourself or just give up or something. Don't be nervous or you might do worse, be alert to tricks on the test, eat a good breakfast blah blah you'll do good buddy. have faith in my predictions (i've never been wrong) ;)

I agree with Saroah - the high scores will make you want to kill yourself.

Just relax. My dad is refusing to let me do anything - he won't even let me touch a book to read because it might stress out my brain. He's also trying REALLY hard to kick me out of the house tonight...I have no idea what he's up to.

Oh yeah, and to add - I went into the first test with barely any practice, and got 100 points better than I did the second test, which I studied from March-June for. Neither score pleases me, so I'm going to do it again for the last time. I don't want to (my dad is more making me do it).

yeah, i've been taking an sat course for 6 weeks. i'm a junior, and this'll be my first time taking them. i've already taken the sat IIs last year, so it won't be that new to me.

oh yeah, tonight i'm coming home at 12.30 in the morning from a birthday party. WOOO!! im so responsible

Don't worry so much, you can retake it as many times as you want, and I believe they'll always take your best score from each section. I'm taking it for the second time tomorrow myself, and I really haven't done much to prepare for it; I'm very satisfied with my score on the writing section, and although I didn't do too well on the Math, I don't see how I could do much better. All I really want to do is improve my essay, which I'm confident I can do, and for which I don't really think I can do much studying for anyway.

done the test! BYEBYE SAT!

actually it wasn't too bad. and yeah actually i was ehre last night to unwind from studying (i prefer the word revising though) :)

I just finished mine. Did you take SAT I or SAT II's. I believe my Literature test was HORRIBLE. And Math was okay...

But gosh, I left so many blank!!

hey IzzyJ, you took the lit test too?

i just filled in whatever i thought was right. i've no idea how i fared! i decided on thursday i'd take the test and without so much as a single practice test (i don't have the book!) i took the test today!!! though yea, i did look at a few questions in the library yesterday!

hope it's all good

i took the SAT I. and there weren't any shock questions. althought the maths was a little tougher than i expected. left one blank. :(

aaron56: Yep, yep, lit test. First test I ever took. It seemed so damn easy in the practice booklet of all the SAT Subject Tests. But that was like...20 questions! I was shocked/horrified at that poem about astrology and Stella. I COMPLETELY didn't understand.

banedon17: Left "ONE" blank? Oh, my, ONE question blank! On my Math IC I think I left about...hmm...7-10 blank. :( I rushed through the last 7.

hey IzzyJ, come to the lit thread in the SAT forum if u want

tht astrology one had me stumped too!!

uhm...where is that? a little headache and fever

do colleges look at the best scores from each section, or the best overall score from all tests you've taken? because mine is definitely a lot higher (by 140 pts) if it's the best scores from each section.

which schools count sections and which count overall scores? which include UCs?
