SAT tutoring services in canada

is there anything of that kind here in canada like they have the princeton review type tutors in america for the sat's im planning to take them again in may and would love to have a professional teacher help me out along the way

but I don't know if that is avaliable where you live.

yeah we have kaplan here in vancouver, dont think there is princeton review

i took the Kaplan SAT Prep last year around this time in downtown vancouver (broadway, near VSB/Chapters). It was generally okay, although just keep in mind that Kaplan and Princeton Review only provide "sample" practice tests, meaning even though their tests "resemble" the real SAT, they are in general not "real" SATs, so there are always inconsistencies. But they are generally good practice.

Also, the price plus tax was around 1000 bucks cdn. If you are taking the may test, you'd better register quick, since the kaplan class lasts for app. 2 months

Bump..........

i took the kaplan's class. Didn't work. Self studying is probably better

IVYPoison is totally right! Kaplan sucks so much, you would have gotten better marks if you studied yourself. Although their practice test is a good way to let you see yourself from a more objective point of view.

im in the kaplan class right now, im finding it okay...the scores you get on the kaplan tests how closely can they reflect the type of score you could get on the actuall SAT? is it reasonable to say you will score in the same range, im taking my first collegeboard SAT test (practice from the book) today also

I know that in Toronto we have both Princeton Review and Kaplan

Princeton Review in Toronto SUCKASS!!! I took it, giant waste of $1000 dollars! but! you could just print their schedule and just study by yourself during that time slot! and when i took it, they use 10Real SATs, so just get the collegeboard bluebook and you are set! best of luck

The Kaplan test doesn't reflect how well you do on the real thing, at least, this is true for me. However, their tests and textbooks are still useful. Just don't read into the sample essays too much because that might lead you off track.

My Kaplan teacher said he only taught SAT because he was the only American there. He got 1200 himself.
