Hello all.
I recently took the sat on November 2nd. Just have one question about the unscored section. I already know it's one of the 25 minute cr, math, or writing sections, but is there a true way to tell which of those three? And to go even further, which actual section it was?

My guess is whichever of the three subjects of questions contained an extra section, that subject contained the unscored section. But does anyone know any absolute information on this?

Yes, you can.
There’s always:
3 Writing sections (INCLUDING essay)
3 math sections
3 CR sections
And then 1 experimental. If you had an extra section, you know one of your sections is an experimental. Then you can converse with other people to see which one was the experimental.

I took nov 2 also, on mine, I had 4 math sections, one of them, I think section 5, was more difficult than all the others. It was one of two 25 minute math sections. Is that an indicator that it was an experimental section? There was 2 back-to-back math sections, 4 and 5, if that is necesary info.

@topranked I had the same thing as well - yeah, one of them was an experimental. Which one, I don’t know - you’ll have to ask someone who had a different experimental. But I found all the math sections pretty easy so I don’t really care ^_^.

if you had a CR experimental, you can find out even easier. You would have two sections that have the same amount of vocab completions (either 5, 6, or 8)… and then you can go to the passages and find out which section was different.
